MyGathers lets a host plan a gathering, invite people by phone number, and see who is in. Guests can answer from a text link without installing anything. It is free, has no ads, and is provided as is.

Your phone number is your account. You must be able to receive texts at it and it must be yours. You are responsible for what is done from your account. You must be at least 13 years old.

When you invite someone, you are the one sending them a message, and MyGathers delivers it for you. Invite only people you know and who would expect to hear from you. Do not use MyGathers to send bulk, commercial, or unsolicited messages; we limit how many invitations an account can send, and we will close accounts that misuse it. Anyone can reply STOP to a MyGathers text; after that, we will not text that number again, whoever invites them.

You own what you write. You give us permission to show it to the host and guests of that Gather, which is the only place it appears. Do not post anything unlawful, harassing, threatening, sexual, or that you do not have the right to share. A host can delete any comment on their Gather; we can remove anything that breaks these terms. Anyone can report a comment or a Gather, and block another person.

We do not check who you invite or what you plan. A Gather is a plan between the people on it; we are not a party to it and are not responsible for what happens at it, for whether anyone turns up, or for costs anyone agreed to.

Texts are sent only for verification codes and for Gathers you are invited to. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply. Texting is currently available for Canadian and US numbers; people elsewhere can still use the links.

You can delete your account at any time from the app or the web page. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or abuses the service, and we may stop offering MyGathers altogether; if we do, we will say so on the web page first where we can.

MyGathers is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you for anything arising from MyGathers is limited to CAD 100. Some places do not allow these limits, in which case they apply as far as the law permits.

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on the web page and in the app before they take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and Canada, and disputes go to the courts of Ontario.
